A bit about us
Three passionate individuals came together in 2019 with a shared mission: to support the local music community and make a positive impact on society.
A Not So Silent Events was born, with Lyle Peterman, Morgan Melnyk, and Mallory Welechenko at the helm. In a short time, they have achieved remarkable success, raising an impressive $145,000 for #NotInMyCity. Their unwavering commitment to amplifying the voices of local musicians is only matched by their deep desire to do good in their community. With this dynamic trio leading the charge, A Not So Silent Events is a force to be reckoned with in the world of philanthropy and music.

#NotInMyCity is a facilitative organization launched in July, 2017 and championed by Paul Brandt that is raising awareness and taking collective action to prevent and end human trafficking and sexual exploitation. #NotInMyCity builds alliances to support, facilitate and advocate for the development and mobilization of a strategic, integrated plan to bring about transformational and sustainable change at the grassroots, practice, policy and legislative levels.

A Not So Silent Nite Charity Christmas Concert
The sixth annual “A Not So Silent Nite” Charity Christmas Concert in support of Not In My City returns December 5, 2024 at the Calgary Petroleum Club.
The charitable event is an evening filled with local music, silent auction, great food & drink. The concerts’ focus is to bring together the community with local artists while supporting and increasing awareness of the Not In My City movement.
